O risco de pobreza continuou a
aumentar em Portugal em 2013, afetando já quase dois milhões de portugueses, de
acordo com os dados do Inquérito às Condições de Vida e Rendimento hoje
divulgados pelo Instituto Nacional de Estatística (INE).

Segundo os dados do INE, 19,5 por cento das pessoas estavam em risco de
pobreza em 2013 face aos 18,7 por cento do ano anterior, apesar de ter existido
um aumento dos apoios sociais às situações de doença e incapacidade, família ou
desemprego.
As estatísticas do INE assinalam ainda que, apesar de o aumento do risco de
pobreza ter abrangido todos os grupos etários, foi maior nos casos dos menores
de 18 anos, tendo o risco de pobreza passado de 24,4 por cento em 2012 para 25,6
por cento em 2013.
